A new direction

I had been thinking about my research and the direction it was going. It wasn’t really headed towards what I had hope for; I have been independently and the research seemed to be going very slowly. I talked to my professor and we both agreed that it would be a better idea for me to work with a graduate student in his lab rather than working on my own. I will be working on her research project, but still be learning COMSOL in the process. Rather than random assignments, I will be able to use and learn COMSOL for a specific project. I think this will not only help me learn how to use COMSOL with a bit more guidance, but it will also allow me to learn about what the graduate student is working on.

Some of the details are still being worked out, but once things have been figured and I know who I will working on, I will be able to give a bit more information as to what I will be spending my time on. πŸ™‚

I have been extremely busy and it’s only the second week of the quarter! We have our annual SACNAS Outreach program this upcoming week; we have been putting in a lot of time planning and working out details for the arrival of the high school students. I have also had quite a bit of school work (readings for my ge’s are ridiculous!).

Have a great week! πŸ™‚
